5-Year-Old Girl Injured In North Philly Hit & Run

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A little girl was injured after she was struck by a driver who sped off after the crash in North Philadelphia.

It happened just before 5:00 p.m. Sunday along the 2200 block of Lambert Street.

Police say a 5-year-old girl was hit by a light-colored Jeep with a possible Pennsylvania license plate, J-S-G-6673.

When officers arrived, the little girl was non-responsive & had blood pouring out of her mouth and a large gash on her head above her right eye.

The girl was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Police are searching for the driver. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
