Focus On Donald Trump May Be Hurting Other Candidate's Chances

By Larry Kane

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- There are two story lines from New Hampshire: Donald Trump and Ohio Governor John Kasich.

A major question at this point: Is Trump dominating the agenda so much in New Hampshire that he's hurting the other candidate's chances?

In the latest poll released by Monmouth University Donald Trump leads Jeb Bush two to one and Kasich has soared to seven percent of the New Hampshire vote compared to Chris Christie's four percent.

That's this weeks most recent poll. In the real clear politics organizations poll of all polls in New Hampshire, Christie is at five percent. The ascending Kasich is at 4.5 percent. From the looks of all the surveys, it's apparent that Trump is hurting Christie, Scott Walker and Ted Cruz the most in New Hampshire.

Suddenly Christie's crusade that "he tells it like it is," is supplanted by Trump. Some better news for Christie, as far as the first national debate the aggregate of national poll averages would put Christie at 9th or tenth, and he might make the required top ten finish for inclusion in the August 6th debate.

Ironically Christie took his first real swipe at Trump's style yesterday.
