Man Accused Of Taking Upskirt Photos At NJ Walmart

BURLINGTON Twp., NJ (CBS) — Police are investigating after they say a man was allegedly taking photographs and videos up a female's dress at a Walmart in Burlington County, New Jersey.

Authorities say around 3:40 p.m. on July 26, officers were dispatched the Walmart on the 2100 block of Mount Holly Road for a male acting suspiciously and possibly conducting lewd acts.

Police say they were told that loss prevention personnel saw a man using his cell phone to take pictures and record video up a woman's dress.

Authorities say the male was detained by officers and identified as 44-year-old Geovanni Varona, of Hialeah, Florida.

Police say further investigation revealed that Varona placed his phone under the victim's dress without her knowledge and recorded a video image.

The victim was unaware of the incident until she was contacted by authorities.

Officials say Varona has been charged with Invasion of Privacy and his bail was set at $35,000.

Police say it is possible Varona committed more lewd acts within the store and they are requesting anyone with information to contact the department at 609-386-2019.
