Cops: Pa. Mom Under Influence At Doughnut Drive-Thru With 2-Year-Old Son

COLLINGDALE, Pa. (AP) — An eastern Pennsylvania woman has been jailed on charges she was under the influence of an anti-anxiety drug at a Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru with her 2-year-old son in the car.

Collingdale police say they were called about 10:30 a.m. Monday by the driver of another car in drive-thru, whose vehicle was repeatedly bumped from behind by one driven by 25-year-old Amber Anthony, of Clifton Heights.

Police arrived to find Anthony drowsy, disoriented and with an iced coffee she had just ordered spilled all over her front seat. Police say Anthony was unsteady on her feet and kept falling asleep as they took her to a hospital where they found Xanax and a small amount of marijuana.

Online court records don't list an attorney for Anthony who was in the Delaware County Jail Tuesday awaiting a July 28 preliminary hearing.
