Daniel Bryan: After Seahawks, 'I Root For Eagles'

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Daniel Bryan, one of the most decorated and popular wrestlers, is an Eagles fan.

Bryan, 34, is a three-time WWE champion from Washington Aberdeen and is appropriately, a Seattle Seahawks fans. However, Bryan said the Birds are his second NFL team.

"So you have to understand that I am mildly sucked into the Eagles vortex because my wife [Brie Bella] is a huge Eagles fan," Bryan told Michael Barkann and Jody McDonald Monday on the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show. "Her family is from South Philly, like her grandpa is from South Philly. So they were just raised being huge Eagles fans. So, my number one team in football is the Seattle Seahawks, but if the Seahawks are not in the race or the running for everything, I am rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles."

Bryan is promoting his new book titled, Yes!: My Improbable Journey To The Main Event Of WrestleMania.

"Ever since I was kid I wanted to be a wrestler and that never changed," Bryan said.

Unfortunately, the WWE star has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury and remains unsure when he will return doing what he loves.

"It's impossible for me to give you a time frame because I feel great, it's just a matter getting cleared and jumping through the hurdles of the doctor stuff. These days it's the hardest part. I feel great, it's just a matter of getting cleared through WWE's medical staff.

"I was hoping to be ready for SummerSlam, I don't know if that's a realistic expectation now or not."
