2 Of 4 Suspects Arrested For Attempted West Mt. Airy Home Invasion

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police have arrested two suspects out of four for an attempted home invasion in West Mount Airy.

Authorities arrested 30 year-old Reggie Reid of Chestnut Street and 27 year-old Alonzo Wallace of Walker Street.

Both men are charged with burglary, attempted robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, criminal trespass and other offenses.

Police say they two other suspects are still at large.

The attempted robbery happened Tuesday around 10:30 p.m. on the 500 block of Burnham Road. Police say a 32-year-old man was inside of his home when and unknown person knocked on his door. The man opened his door slightly to see who it was.

According to authorities, after opening the door another person appeared. Police say the man immediately shut and locked his door and was able to witness two more offenders join the first two outside of the home on his surveillance camera.

Police say that all four had handguns in their hands and attempted to get into the house, but failed to do so.

No injuries were reported and no property was taken during the incident.
