Radnor Businessman Faces Child Pornography Charges

RADNOR, P.A., (CBS) -- Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan announced on Thursday the arrest of Radnor businessman John Francis Steele. The 68-year-old is charged with the dissemination of child pornography, sexual abuse of children and criminal use of a communications facility.

During the investigation, Steele's computer was searched by authorities. Over 2,000 videos and images of a pornographic nature involving children were found. Authorities say that the images found were organized by category on Steele's computer.

"Mr. Steele admitted that it was his computer, he had exclusive access to the computer, we determined that there was substantial child pornography on the computer so Mr. Steele was arrested," said Whelan.

In addition to the images in violation, authorities say there are over 80,000 images that remain undetermined in whether or not they meet the definition of child pornography.

Steele's preliminary hearing is set for July 23, 2015.
