University City Dining Days Aims To Drive Business To The Area

By Dan Majka

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Are you looking to fill your stomach without emptying your wallet? An annual promotion beginning Thursday night in University City offers a variety of dining options that might just hit the spot.

University City Dining Days is celebrating its 11th year. For the next 11 days hungry guests can take advantage of a great deal on a full meal.

"People can enjoy three course meals from 32 restaurants. They range from $15 to $25 to $35," said Lori Brennan of the University City District.

She adds that the goal is to drive business to the neighborhood's restaurants during a typically slow summer season.

"They're seeing that their tables are full seven to ten nights of the promotion rather that just maybe on weekends where they normally would be crowded."

No matter the price point, she says patrons will still get a dish that includes an appetizer, entree and dessert.
