Power Outages, Flooding Concerns After Storms Move Through

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The best advice for drivers this morning? If a road you take normally floods, it probably did today -- so avoid those areas.
Reports of flooding in low-lying areas and underpasses have been coming in to the newsroom Wednesday morning. The good news is that the flooding seems to be clearing up quickly, but continue to be wary of standing water on the roads. Don't try to drive through it.
Two water rescues have been reported on High Street in Pottstown.
In Hamilton Township, Route 322 and Liepzig Avenue is closed due to flooding. A fire was also reported at the AMI building across the street due to a lightning strike but was placed under control.
Downed trees and power lines have caused power outages in the area Wednesday morning. PECO reported around 3,000 outages before 7 a.m. That was later downgraded to around 1,000 about an hour later. The majority of the outages are in Chester, Bucks, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties.
Crews are working to get those restored.
Atlantic City Electric is also dealing with nearly 3,000 outages this morning, they hope to have the lights back on by 11 a.m.
