PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Businessman and philanthropist Steven H. Korman was honored with a special designation by MANNA today for his continued support. The organization is calling July 15th the SHK Day of Caring.

Dozens of volunteers and MANNA staffers shocked Steven Korman as he entered the kitchen. Within seconds, he was wiping tears of joy from his eyes.

This is part of MANNA’s 25th anniversary. Spokesman Rob Saxon says it’s a milestone the hunger-busting organization would not be celebrating if not for Mr. Korman’s time, effort, and funding.

Feeding the needy is a passion of Korman’s and he says we’re all together in this battle against hunger.
