Flood, Storm Warnings Issued For Philadelphia, Surrounding Counties

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for much of the area Wednesday morning.

The areas affected in Pennsylvania are parts of Chester, Bucks, and Philadelphia Counties. In New Jersey, the warning extends to parts of Camden, Salem, Gloucester, and Burlington Counties. A severe thunderstorm warning is also in place for Atlantic and Ocean Counties. The warnings are set to expire at 9:30am.

 

In addition, parts of Atlantic, Ocean, and Burlington Counties are under a flash flood warning until 12:45pm.

A flash flood warning has also been issued for parts of Warren, Sussex, and Morris Counties in New Jersey, and Northampton and Monroe Counties in Pennsylvania until 11:15am.

 

Previously, parts of Delaware, Chester, Bucks, Berks, Lehigh, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties were under a flash flood warning until 8:30am.
