Police: North Philly Hit And Run Victim ID'd As Rising High School Senior

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police have identified a rising high school senior as the victim of a hit and run that happened on Sunday.

Seventeen-year-old Tyrone Alexander Tillman, of East Atlantic Street, was riding a bike when he was struck by a vehicle on the 4000 block of North 2nd Street. He did not have any identification on him when he was struck, leading police to reach out to the public for help.

Tillman, who was killed in the crash, was reportedly scheduled to enter his senior year of high school at Edison High School this fall.

Police say the hit and run driver and the vehicle were both located after the accident. The driver was released pending further investigation.
