Boy Scouts Of America Ends Ban On Gay Scout Leaders

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Gay adults may soon serve as scout leaders across the country.

In a unanimous vote, the Boy Scouts of America's executive committee approved a resolution to end the group's ban on gay adult leaders.

The ban has created a major division within the 105-year-old organization.

Philadelphia's Boy Scouts council approved a similar resolution last month.
