Sixers Top Celtics In Second Summer League Game

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Sixers began Summer League action on Monday night and picked up their first victory on Tuesday night. They defeated the Boston Celtics 76-62 on the second night of the Utah Jazz Summer League.

Jahlil Okafor backed up a strong professional debut with another solid night. The Duke product finished with 13 points and nine rebounds.

His front court mates also produced in the win over the Celtics. Jerami Grant had 12 points and five rebounds and Furkan Aldemir chipped in 11 points on the night to go along with 14 rebounds.

He also showed off an improved three-point shot as he went 3-5 from beyond the arc.

Sixers second round pick Richaun Holmes also has a stellar night as he finished with 13 points and eight rebounds. Jordan McRae also had 13 points.

The Sixers are off on Wednesday night and will play the final game of the Utah Jazz Summer League on Thursday night against the Jazz. The team will then field their second Summer League squad in Las Vegas.
