Cutting The Ribbon On The Navy Yard's Newest Park
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled today for a new public park at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.
The new urban environment is a sustainable, green, five-acre park named "Central Green."
Visitors will find an oversized sun lawn with lounge chairs, hammocks, table tennis, and bocce courts.
It's the Navy Yard's sixth park space. The mayor and business leaders will cut the ribbon at 11am.
