Father Convicted Of South Jersey Shooting That Left Daughter Paralyzed

Camden County Prosecutors say the shooting occurred January 2013, while Byaer Johnson was visiting with the then 11-year-old girl at her mother's home in Camden.

Authorities say Johnson was sitting in the living room with the girl, her mother and the girl's stepfather when he revealed a handgun and stated "we all must die." The Camden man then walked toward his daughter, told her to shut up and shot her in the face at close range.

The victim appeared in court during the trial and identified her father as the shooter.

Johnson faces a lengthy prison term when he's sentenced July 31.
