French Terrorists Target Chemical Plant Owned By Allentown, Pa. Company

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Terrorists reportedly targeted a French factory that's owned by a company headquartered in our area.

CBS News reports the attackers drove a vehicle into an industrial complex near Lyon in an attempt to blow up a chemical factory there.

That plant is owned by the Allentown-based company Air Products.

One person was found decapitated and two others were injured in the Friday attack.

The decapitated victim's head was reportedly found a few feet from the body and had been placed on a fence. Arabic writing and flags with Arabic writing on them were also found at the scene.

Air Products has apparently not confirmed if the dead or injured were employees.

The company says in a statement that all employees have been evacuated from the site, which is secure.

It says, "Our crisis and emergency response teams have been activated and are working closely with all relevant authorities."

Authorities in France say multiple people are in custody and are being questioned in connection to the attack.
