Two Injured In New Jersey Turnpike Crash

WOOLWICH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Two people have been taken to hospitals following a two-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Gloucester County.

State Police Sgt. Jeff Flynn says the accident happened in the northbound lanes in Woolwich Township around 5:50 a.m. Wednesday.

Flynn says a male was flown by helicopter to Cooper Hospital and a female was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Philadelphia.

The extent of their injuries is not known. No names have been released.

Flynn says one of the vehicles went off the turnpike into the woods. The details of the crash remain under investigation.
