Phils Travel To New York, Open Series With Yankees

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies return to interleague action tonight up in New York as they open a three game series against the Yankees.

The Phillies come into tonight's game 24-47, but their 24th win did come yesterday as they beat up the St. Louis Cardinals, 9-2. LHP Adam Morgan got the win in his MLB debut, allowing just a run in 5 2/3 innings of work. It was the first win for a Phillies starting pitcher since May 23rd.

Tonight RHP Kevin Correia gets the call for the Phillies. This will be his third start since being picked up by the Phils. In the first two he has gone 0-1 with a 1.69 ERA. He lost to the Orioles in his last start, 6-4. He allowed 6 runs in 5 innings of work, but only 2 of the runs were earned.

The Yankees will start RHP Michael Pineda. He is having a fine season as he brings an 8-3 record and 3.54 ERA into tonight's game. The Phillies have only faced Pineda once, back in 2011 while the right-hander was with Seattle. He allowed a run on 2 hits in 6 innings of work on June 17th of that year in a game the Mariners won 4-2.

Here is the lineup for the Phillies tonight against Pineda:

1. CF Ben Revere
2. 2B Cesar Hernandez
3. 3B Maikel Franco
4. 1B Ryan Howard
5. RF Domonic Brown
6. DH Chase Utley
7. C Cameron Rupp
8. LF Cody Asche
9. SS Freddy Galvis
