Guilty Plea in 2013 Violent Home Invasion in Blue Bell, Pa.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A 25-year-old Philadelphia man is now facing a sentence of 10-40 years behind bars after pleading guilty to his role in a violent home invasion and robbery in Blue Bell, Pa. in 2013.
Sean Favors, of the city's Olney section, entered an "open" guilty plea in Montgomery County Court (meaning no agreement on sentencing was included) to one count of robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery.
The incident, at a home along Wyndrise Drive in October 2013, left a 77-year-old man with a broken nose, cerebral hemorrhaging, and a detached larynx.
Investigators say a group of five men followed a couple from their business in Philadelphia to their home in Blue Bell. One of them attacked the homeowner with a crowbar. The gang then stole thousands of dollars from the couple and ran off.
Montgomery County assistant district attorney Gabe Magee says Favors has cooperated with investigators since his arrest.
"His statement was that he was not one of the people that did the assault, although he was in the home," Magee told KYW Newsradio today.
Dozens of other charges against Favors were dropped with the understanding he may be called to testify against any of his four co-defendants.
