Dez Bryant Wants You To Stop Calling Him Selfish

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Dallas Cowboys decided to use the franchise tag on Dez Bryant this off-season to keep their stud wide receiver in Dallas for at least another season. The designation will pay Bryant $13 million for the upcoming season, but Bryant has yet to sign the deal.

No player wants to receive the franchise tag. While it does guarantee you a nice salary for a year of work, it skirts around the idea of providing a player with long term security to go along with pay competitive to the top players at their position.

Bryant has the money sitting there for him, but he wants the long-term security and reports are he is willing to sit out regular season games to get it. Does Bryant have a good point?

Whether his thinking is right or wrong on this, he wants people to stop calling him selfish.

Bryant tweeted out the above on Wednesday.

The Dallas wide receiver is clearly frustrated.
