PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — On Tuesday, NFL player Devon Still and his daughter Leah presented Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with a check for $141,428.53. The money was raised through a Pledge it campaign in which contributors offered donations for each sack that the Bengals defense recorded last season.

Still explained that the donations would stand to help families that were dealing with the financial burdens that come with having a sick child while also trying to be there with them.

The money will also go toward cancer research.

Leah was diagnosed with cancer in June of 2014 and her battle with the disease over the last year has been well documented. She has suffered numerous ups and downs along the way.
