Web Site Gathers Philadelphia Pre-Votes, Giving Early Insight

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thousands of Philadelphians got a chance to cast their mock votes today using a new political data-crunching web site.

Crowdpac.com provides nonpartisan info on candidates in all of the Philadelphia races, and has allowed voters to create electronic sample ballots, listing their personal preferences, to use at the polls.

Web site political director Liz Jaff says Jim Kenney was, as expected, ahead in this unscientific sampling race for mayor.   But, she notes, the results have been surprising in the "at-large" City Council race.

"We have Tom Wyatt, Paul Steinke, and Helen Gym at the top of the ticket," Jaff said earlier today.

For Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Anne Lazarus, Kevin Dougherty, and David Wecht were leading.
