Mass Transit Still Impacted By Train Derailment
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Tuesday's deadly Amtrak train derailment is still affecting mass transit throughout the region.
Amtrak service between Philadelphia and New York City remains suspended until further notice.
SEPTA's Trenton Line is suspended as a result. Shuttle buses are running between Corwells Heights and the Frankford Transportation Center for riders who normally use the Trenton line to get into Philly.
The West Trenton Line is running on a modified schedule, with additional cars.
You can can also take PATCO from Center City to Camden, then hop on the RiverLine to get to Trenton.
Amtrak CEO Joe Boardman says a lot of repairs are needed before service resumes:
"We expect that we'll be with limited service by Monday, maybe full service Monday. We're really looking at full service for Tuesday."
