Police: Temple Student Struck In Hit-And-Run In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a Temple University student riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle in North Philadelphia.

Police say the incident was reported at about 7:05 p.m. Wednesday at N. Park Avenue and Diamond Street.

Police say the 22-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle, described as a Mitsubishi Galant.

Police say the vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Diamond Street, then northbound on Broad Street with possible front end and windshield damage.

The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition with head and leg injuries, according to police.

An investigation is underway.
