Phillies Continue Series In St. Louis Tonight

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies will play the third game of their four-game series in St. Louis tonight.

The teams have split the first two match-ups. The Phillies opened things up on Monday with a 4-1 behind Cole Hamels. Then last night rookie RHP Severino Gonzalez was shelled in the MLB debut as the Phils lost 11-5.

Tonight Aaron Harang will get the call for Ryne Sandberg's squad. The veteran right-hander has been outstanding here in the early going - 2-1 in four starts with a 1.37 ERA. He pitched eight shutout innings last time out against Atlanta, allowing just two hits. However it has been tough sledding for Harang in his career against St. Louis. In 27 career starts against the Cardinals, Harang is 7-15 with a 4.27 ERA.

Harang's mound opponent tonight will be St. Louis right-hander Carlos Martinez, who is also off to an outstanding start. He is 2-0 in four games (three starts) with a 1.35 ERA.

Here is the Phillies lineup tonight.

1. LF Ben Revere
2. CF Odubel Herrera
3. 2B Chase Utley
4. RF Jeff Francoeur
5. 1B Ryan Howard
6. 3B Cody Asche
7. C Carlos Ruiz
8. SS Freddy Galvis
9. P Aaron Harang

The Phillies will bring a record of 8-13 into tonight's game. The Cardinals sit at 13-6.
