Chilly Temps To Linger Into Saturday

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's another cold morning across the Delaware Valley.

You'll definitely need a jacket, but freeze warnings have been cancelled for the area. Too much cloud cover prevented morning lows from dropping to freezing, and breezy conditions inhibited frost from forming. Clouds will be around during the morning but will eventually give way to more sunshine. Highs should climb a few degrees higher than yesterday, into the mid 50s.

The winds die down tonight, but the chilly temps creep right back. A Freeze Watch has been issued for most of the suburban counties outside of Philadelphia through Saturday morning.

Saturday will start off with abundant sunshine, and highs will rise to around 60 degrees. By the later afternoon, some high clouds will move in from the south and west as a storm system moves nearby. Skies will cloud up on Saturday night, and the southernmost counties could see a light shower or two.

Clouds will hang around for Sunday as well, but some sunshine should filter in, especially in areas further north.
