Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail Line Experiencing Delays Of Up To 30 Minutes

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia's regional rail system says emergency repairs to tilting poles are delaying some commuter trains by a half hour.

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority says service on the Manayunk/Norristown Line won't be back to normal until Thursday afternoon.

The agency says poles possibly dislodged by high winds are creating hazardous conditions and forcing a change in boarding at the Conshohocken, Spring Mill and Miquon stations.

Because of the repairs, trains headed for downtown Philadelphia are picking up passengers on the platforms normally used by suburban-bound trains.

The Manayunk/Norristown line has more than 10,000 daily riders.
