Police: 2 Officers Injured In Ogontz Accident

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police say two officers were taken to the hospital after an accident in Philadelphia's Ogontz neighborhood.

Police say it happened at about 8:54 p.m. Tuesday at the 2100 block of W. Laveer Street.

Philadelphia Police say officers on routine patrol were traveling southbound on 21st Street when a Chevy Impala traveling eastbound on Laveer Street allegedly ran a stop sign and struck their vehicle.

Both officers were taken to the hospital and placed in stable condition, according to police.

Police say the occupants of the Chevy were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
