'Sons Of Ben: The Movie' Prepares To Hit The Big Screen

By Kevin Kinkead

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It took more than three years to film, produce, and edit.

Soon, Philadelphia sports fans will be able to enjoy a story that deserves to be told on the big screen.

"Sons of Ben: The Movie" tells the tale of a small group of soccer supporters who brought the beautiful game to the Delaware Valley. The "SOBs" existed before Major League Soccer expanded to the tri-state region, and their efforts were instrumental in creating the franchise that would become the Philadelphia Union.

The film has already debuted, and done well, at festivals in both Japan and Spain.

The red carpet Philadelphia premiere takes place on June 10th at the Trocadero, and tickets are still available at www.sonsofbenmovie.com.

Recently, CBS 3 Sports Director Beasley Reece was joined on the Sports Zone by the film's director and producer Jeff Bell, SOB co-founder Bryan James, and founding member Corey Furlan.
