PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — It took more than three years to film, produce, and edit.

Soon, Philadelphia sports fans will be able to enjoy a story that deserves to be told on the big screen.

“Sons of Ben: The Movie” tells the tale of a small group of soccer supporters who brought the beautiful game to the Delaware Valley. The “SOBs” existed before Major League Soccer expanded to the tri-state region, and their efforts were instrumental in creating the franchise that would become the Philadelphia Union.

The film has already debuted, and done well, at festivals in both Japan and Spain.
