Eagles Host First Flight Market At The Linc

By Mike Dougherty, Alexandria Hoff

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Food trucks and flea market tables took over the parking lot at Lincoln Financial Field Sunday for the first ever Eagle's Flight Market.

More than 50 food trucks worked alongside dozens of memorabilia vendors in Lot K and thousands of people turned out for food and fun in the sun, including Nadine from Mount Royal, New Jersey.

"Way too much food to even choose from," she said, "They have a great flea market set up. People are selling some great vintage pieces, some fun memorabilia."

While the football field is reserved for football, the parking lot was filled with much more during this event.

"We're doing field tours, we have kids activities like facepainting, carnival games, we have a live band. We have a beer, wine and spirits tent," says Lynnette Camacho with the Eagles.

Camacho says they planned this to get more use out of their facility while helping out the Food Trust of Philadelphia.

"There's so much space, and everyone's really having a great time." Said Camacho, "People just keep coming in and it's getting busier and busier."

The idea for the Flight Market came from the Food Trust's Night Market, and money raised will help the non-profit with its mission to ensure everyone has access to healthy, affordable food.
