Local Hospice Remodels Room To Give Comfort To Children Who Are Visiting Family Members

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A local hospice has unveiled a space that is just for children visiting family members.
It's not unusual to see children at a hospice visiting family members, according to Michelle Brooks Associate Director of Psychosocial Services for Penn Homecare and Hospice, and that's why Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse has remodeled a room for kids, complete with murals and stained glass.
"It will be used as respite when they're visiting their loved ones, to go there and play a game, go and do their homework. There's a computer set up in there, we also have video games, books puzzles all kinds of stuff."
She says the money was raised and the work was done by students at Penn the hospice is located in the 1800 block of Lombard Street.
