PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia Councilwoman is hosting an expungement clinic tonight in Germantown for those with a criminal past who are looking for a better future.

“Folks who do have records and a history, whether they were younger or maybe later in life, are really shut out of opportunities,” she tells KYW Newsradio.

“The best way to reduce the recidivism rate and to ensure that everyone has a way to participate economically is to address these sorts of issues.”
This is the third year Bass is hosting the clinic.
