Study Claims Most People Download Apps On The Weekend

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Weekends are meant for rest, relaxation and maybe…  downloading apps?

That's according to a study by SensorTower that claims to have figured out which days of the week usually have the most estimated app downloads and revenue.

Researchers say they totaled the approximated weekly downloads and revenue for all iOS apps in the United States and then they broke down the totals to determine the day-to-day downloads.

The study says the data was taken from January through March of this year.

Researchers claim when it comes to the iOS Books category, most people download book apps on Sunday, with weekend numbers slightly higher than weekdays.

The study says the same can be said for the iOS Catalogs category. It claims more people are downloading catalog apps on the weekend rather than during the week.

Unsurprisingly, when it comes to iOS Business apps the study says most downloads occurred on weekdays, specifically Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a decline on Saturdays and Sundays.
