PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — St. Joseph’s University has launched an investigation into allegations of hazing.

St. Joseph’s University released the following statement Thursday night:

“Saint Joseph’s University is fully aware of the allegations involving members of the women’s softball team. SJU is taking these allegations very seriously and is well into a comprehensive investigation of the matter. While that investigation is not yet complete, remedial actions have already been taken to assure there is no disruption to the educational environment of any students who may be affected. Due to federal student privacy regulations, there will be no additional comment by the University at this time.”
