PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – We are heading into the spring sports season and a great opportunity for kids to play all sorts of sports – softball, soccer, track and lacrosse are just a few and it should be fun, but there can be problems.
Unlike generations in the past, many kids are playing with their parents hanging around.
With parents more involved in guiding their kids, there’s a temptation for parents to get over-involved and provide pressure. That’s one of the things that’s important when it comes to kids and sports. It is important not to fall into that trap.
Children will try to please you so you have to make sure that you allow them to have fun and to play their game.
Remember it is their time to play – we all have had our time – let them have freedom to play with as little pressure as possible.
