PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Flyers announced on Wednesday night that Wayne Simmonds and Andrew MacDonald would be out for the remainder of the regular season due to injury.
Flyers general manager Ron Hextall announced that Simmonds had suffered a lower-body injury that would end the rest of his season and that MacDonald would be sidelined with an upper-body injury.
Simmonds leads the Flyers with 28 goals on the season. He scored his 28th goal in the team’s 4-1 win over the Blackhawks just before the news was announced.
