Fairmount Food Crawl Offers Chance To Truly Pig Out

By Andrew Kramer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Here's a question you've probably never been asked: do you think you can eat a whole pig? You have a chance to find out Saturday in Fairmount.

Ray Sheehan with Philly2Night, who organizes the Fairmount Food Crawl, says 14 bars in the neighborhood will each offer a different part of the pig to try:

"Every bar and restaurant's going to have their own area of expertise with the pig. Some will do the shoulder, some will do cheek and the nose, others will do the butt. Obviously you have the rib."

And what better way to wash everything down than with some mixed drinks, which Sheehan says are included at each location:

"So along with the 14 different parts of the pig, you'll also receive a complimentary handmade vodka cocktail."

A Portion of the proceeds support the Fairmount CDC.
