PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Thursday afternoon that the team has agreed to terms on a 3-year deal with running back Ryan Mathews.

Mathews was a first round selection of the Chargers in the 2010 NFL Draft. He has rushed for over 1,000 yards twice in his career. He did so once in 2011 and again in 2013.

Mathews was a Pro Bowler in 2011 after rushing for 1,091 yards and six touchdowns.

Mathews battled injuries in 2014 and played in just six games. He rushed for 330 yards and three touchdowns during that span.
