PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Thursday that the team has signed running back DeMarco Murray to a five-year deal.

Murray has spent four seasons in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. He is coming off his best season as a professional.

In 2014, Murray was the NFL’s premiere rusher as he rushed for 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Murray will team up with his college quarterback and roommate, Sam Bradford, with the Eagles. Bradford mentioned in his introductory press conference on Wednesday that he was doing everything he could to recruit Murray to Philadelphia.
