Pa. Supreme Court Considers Whether Judge Had Power To Appoint Special Prosecutor To Investigate AG Kane
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments in a challenge brought by Attorney General Kathleen Kane on Wednesday.
Kane will be in the courtroom when the court considers whether a judge had authority to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate her.
The Grand Jury, run by the special prosecutor, recommended criminal charges of perjury against Kane that stem from the release of secret Grand Jury material to a newspaper.
Kane has denied any wrongdoing.
