PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — On Tuesday afternoon the Eagles officially announced that the team has acquired LB Kiko Alonso from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for RB LeSean McCoy.

The trade was first reported last Tuesday. Alonso is 24 years old and missed the 2014 season with a torn ACL.

He starred for Chip Kelly at Oregon before playing an impressive rookie season in Buffalo.

McCoy leaves Philadelphia as the franchise’s all-time leading rusher. A reported extension with the Bills is expected for McCoy.
