Ocean County Woman Arrested For Allegedly Beating 4-Year-Old Child
LAKEWOOD, NJ (CBS) – A Lakewood woman has been arrested after she allegedly assaulted a four-year-old child.
Police say they were called to a home in Lakewood on Tuesday after it was reported the child had been physically assaulted.
When officers arrived, they found the victim's injuries to be "extensive," and said he was struck in the head and the face numerous times by 36-year-old Augustina Rodriguez-Morales.
Rodriguez-Morales was arrested and charged with 3rd Degree Aggravated Assault and Title 9 Child Abuse. Her bail was set at $50,000 and she is currently being held in the Ocean County Jail.
A no contact order with the victim was also implemented.
