Fire Heavily Damages Delaware County Home

SHARON HILL, Pa. (CBS) -- A fire severely damaged a home in Delaware County Thursday morning.

The one-alarm fire started shortly after 8 a.m. inside a home in the 100 block of Burton Lane in Sharon Hill.

When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home.

Several firefighters battled the fire from the roof of the home and they were able to control the fire shortly before 9 a.m.

The fire caused significant damage to the home.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
