Find The Perfect Dress For Less On Valentine's Day At Goodwill Bridal Gown Sale

By Michelle Durham

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. (CBS) --- Just in time for Valentine's Day, Goodwill of Southern New Jersey holds their annual bridal gown sale at their Pennsauken location on Route 70. The deeply discounted gowns and large selection draw brides from near and far, and all the proceeds go to help the disabled find work.

Goodwill PR Manager Juli Lundberg says they've worked all year soliciting donations from bridal stores and manufacturers for this bridal sale now in its 7th year.

"We have about 225 beautiful dresses up for sale," she says. "Lots of different styles and sizes, everything from flower girl dresses, veils, tiaras. But I think the most attractive thing about this sale is the deeply discounted cost for area brides. No gown is priced over $299."

Interested brides should arrive early, as they are staggering entry to the event.

"We had a very large donation from Aria, a manufacturer," she says. "They'll see lots of Alfred Angelo, Mia Solano, Mikaella, Justin Alexander. Gently used gowns are also being sold even cheaper -- $49 and up. Those gowns do go too!"

Lundberg advises those trying on dresses to wear a body suit and keep an open mind as the gowns may need alterations. All proceeds fund Goodwill's mission to help the disabled find work.

The sale is Saturday, Valentine's Day, from 9am to 9pm.
