VIDEO: Shoplifter Threatens Workers With Syringe During Robbery Of Family Dollar Store

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who threatened employees with a syringe during the robbery of a dollar store.
The incident happened at about 4:45 p.m. on February 5th at the Family Dollar store in the 700 block of W. Lehigh Avenue.
The suspect entered the store and once inside, police say he concealed several items inside his coat.
As the suspect tried to leave the store without paying for the items, he was confronted by store security.
During the confrontation, police say the suspect reached into his jacket and pulled out a syringe and swung the syringe at the employees while making verbal threats.

The suspect then walked out of the store without paying for Tide laundry detergent.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5'9" with facial hair. He was wearing a green pullover windbreaker and blue jeans. He was carrying a green bag, and was armed with a syringe.
