Top 5 Best Sports Months

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The debate for best sports month in an age-old one, but something we all can agree on his February is---by far---the worst sports month of the year.

As we continue to agonize through the frigid weather and torturing Flyers and Sixers games, let's look forward to some of the best sports months of the year.

5. January

We'll let's look back first, actually, to January. Bowl season, National Championship game, and the NFL Playoffs. It's football's best month and sure do love football.

4. September

The exhausting baseball season is finally winding down, and boom, football begins. And there's nothing like Week One.

3. March

March Madness. Some say, it's the two best words in all of sports. I can't argue that.

2. April

The Masters, NHL Playoffs, NBA Playoffs, NCAA Basketball Championship, and Opening Day. Not to mention, the glorious April weather on the east coast.

NBA and NHL seasons begin, World Series, NFL and NCAA Football seasons are in full-swing. You gotta have football in the best sports month of the year.
