PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia Fire Medic caught fire early Friday morning after leaving Jefferson Hospital.

Fire officials say the ambulance was heading back to the station when a small fire was discovered in the rear of the vehicle. Medics reportedly called the blaze in themselves and crews responded and put out the fire.READ MORE: 5 People Shot Near Temple University, Philadelphia Police Say

Officials say the vehicle was not driveable following the fire.
