2 Bodies Found Inside South Jersey Home

By Matt Rivers

MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (CBS) - Authorities are investigating the deaths of two people after their bodies were found Saturday morning inside a Burlington County home.

The bodies were discovered just before 9 a.m. at the home located on the 200 block of Washington Street in Mount Holly.

Crime scene units then spent hours at the scene collecting evidence, trying to figure out exactly what happened to the male and female victims.

Neighbors say this is a homicide, but the Prosecutor's Office has not conformed that yet.

Neighbors are also saying they didn't hear or see anything early in the morning, but did see someone being led out of the house in handcuffs shortly after the bodies were discovered. The bodies were removed from the home in the afternoon.

"Shocked was the word," neighbor Evelyn Murray tells CBS3 Eyewitness News. "I'm like, 'what's going on'? You don't expect things like that in this neighborhood."

Police say they do not believe anybody in the area is in any danger, which likely means there is no suspect on the run, but again, that has not been confirmed by police.

The investigation continues as there are currently more questions than answers.
