Chris Christie's Orange Sweater Was Not Enough For Dallas

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- He was dubbed the Cowboys' 'mojo' by Jerry Jones, but on Sunday, Chris Christie and his orange sweater were not enough to get the Cowboys to the NFC Championship Game.

Christie's office announced earlier this week that the governor of New Jersey would once again be traveling to see his beloved Cowboys play. This time around, Christie footed the bill as opposed to being treated to the game by his friend Jones.

The governor walked the field at Lambeau prior to kickoff, taking pictures and chatting it up with members of the Cowboys organization. He took a second to show off the infamous orange sweater that was 5-0 at Cowboys game that Christie attended.

That streak came to an end as the Cowboys lost to the Packers in heartbreaking fashion, 26-21.

The television cameras did not focus on Christie quite as much as they had in past weeks. Christie's office did announce that he would once again be in Jones' box, but perhaps the angles were not good for television shots into the box, so there will be no viral moments to hit social media like the awkward hug that Jones and Christie shared in the win over Detroit.

It looks like there will be no trip for Christie to Seattle. Eagles and Giants fans in his state are quite relieved.
